About Jerry Pratt:
Jerry is our staff orthotist. He earned his B.S. from UMass Amherst (Sports Management major Exercise Science minor) where he was a four year track and field / cross country athlete. His interest in orthotics came about from an injury to his foot while in school.
Jerry had a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis and the team doctor referred him to Dr. Rob Roy MacGregor who made him a pair of soft orthotics. Jerry’s heel pain was gone and he was back training in just a few weeks. Dr. Macgregor was an early pioneer in the use of softer, more accommodating materials for making his orthotics. Jerry’s focus is on the use of various moldable dual density materials to hand craft a custom foot orthotic.
Jerry later completed an internship studying under Dr. MacGregor and upon graduation was hired as the orthotist for his group practice. Since then, Jerry has been very fortunate to have worked with many of Boston’s best orthopedic and podiatric practitioners.
